Community Highlights

Hertford Castle Grounds Renewal Moves Forward 🏗

Plans to revitalise the grounds of Hertford Castle have taken a major step forward, with a planning application now submitted to East Herts Council. The collaborative project aims to protect historic features while improving access, biodiversity and facilities across the site.

Proposals include restoring the River Lea’s banks, upgrading paths and bridges, enhancing seating and planting, and relocating the car park to improve views of the Gatehouse. A brand-new children’s play area, The Ruins, inspired by the castle’s medieval history, will be relocated to the heart of the site to create a safer, more engaging space for families.

Burger Box Bengeo Is Officially Open 🍔

Burger lovers, rejoice! Burger Box Bengeo has officially launched, serving up smashed burgers, loaded fries and family-friendly deals for eat-in or takeaway. Pop by from 3pm or order in via Uber Eats for your new local burger fix.
