πͺ Your Fortnight in Hertford, Sorted (Yes, Even the Queen Shows Up)
Royal visits, folk gigs, paint & sip nights, a half marathon, kids' circus and the property of the week - pick your weekend.

Good Morning, Hertford! βοΈ
Weβre halfway through September, but not slowing down for the second half of it! This week we've got Hertford Castle turning into an actual medieval settlement for the day (Viking battles, falconry, and yes, a visit from Queen Elizabeth I herself), a folk night that's shaping up to sell out, a Halloween paint-and-sip with your first drink on the house, and a half marathon - or a much gentler family stroll, your call - across Hartham Common. Throw in a fairy trail through ancient woodland, axe-throwing for the brave, a human circus at Bengeo, and bingo night back at The Greyhound with cash prizes up for grabs, and really, there's no excuse to be bored this fortnight.
Whoever you are and whatever kind of weekend you're after, there's something below with your name on it. Let's get into it.
π Hereβs what weβve got for you this week:

π¦ Hertford Weather: 15 - 21 Sept 2026
A gentle start to the week - today clears from morning cloud into afternoon sun, then Thursday brings the one soggy patch of the week, with a 54% chance of rain first thing (brolly for the school run). After that, it dries right out.
Best days: Friday 18th through Monday 21st - low rain risk throughout (7-10%), a breezier Saturday (26km/h), and temperatures climbing steadily to a lovely 23Β° by Monday.

β¨ Mind, Health + Fitness
Ever have one of those days where your brain feels like forty tabs are open and none of them will close? Same. Turns out the fix isn't another app or a fancier planner - it's a blank sheet of paper and about fifteen minutes.
Iβve found this particularly simple and useful. Give it a go this week - your head will feel so much lighter afterwards.
π§ Extra Sprinkles
Hereβs some lovely Autumn cookies recipes for those slower days, and trust us - your house will smell like a hug.
