The Dog & Whistle team has re-opened The Greyhound in the run up to Christmas. Originally McMullen’s Brewing & Pubs very first pub purchase back in 1835, this much-loved local is still pouring Hertfordshire’s finest award-winning ales today. A true local gem - congrats to everyone involved 🥂

Fines for unpermitted roadworks to double from the New Year
Hertfordshire County Council has confirmed that fines for unpermitted or poorly managed roadworks will double from the New Year. Utility companies will face penalties of £1,000 for carrying out works without a permit and £240 for breaching permit conditions.
The move follows concerns raised by the council that current fines were not a strong enough deterrent, especially with around 60,000 roadworks taking place each year across the county. The Department for Transport has now approved the increase to help reduce disruption & delays for road users.
