COMMUNITY HIGHLIGHTS

Accessibility Upgrade Milestone at Hertford North 🚉

Major progress has been made on accessibility improvements at Hertford North railway station, with the new lift shaft now installed and clad.

The lift - part of Network Rail’s nationwide Access for All programme - will provide step-free access to Platform 1, making the entire station fully accessible for passengers with mobility needs, luggage or pushchairs.

Works are expected to complete in autumn 2026, marking a big step forward for inclusive travel in Hertford.
