The autumn equinox lands at 1:05am tomorrow, so consider this your last proper "still summer" Tuesday of the year, and we've packed it accordingly. Two 80s names (China Crisis and Space) roll into the Corn Exchange this week, Street Food Heroes is back at All Saints on Thursday, and Hertford RFC open their home season against Sidcup on Saturday.

Home could be built on burial ground
Plans have gone in to East Herts Council for a three-bed self-build home on Port Hall - on the site of Hertford's Quaker Burial Ground, used from the mid-1600s until 1962, with an estimated 1,100 people buried there. Of the 15 public comments received, 14 object; the council's own Conservation and Urban Design team has objected too, citing the loss of a historically significant, undeveloped green space. Right, controversial one for you today. Sainsbury's has just launched a milk chocolate & mascarpone girasoli 👀 - that's pasta, filled with chocolate, £3.50, from the Taste the Difference range. We can't decide if it's genius or a crime against carbonara. Shoppers online are split down the middle: half horrified, half insisting the filling is genuinely rich and delicious. Turns out chocolate-and-pasta isn't even that mad, Italians have been doing savoury-chocolate dishes since the 1600s.

Next time you're in Sainsbury's Hartham topping up to £10 so the parking machine doesn't sting you, skip the emergency batteries and grab a pack instead. Cook it up with cream, a dusting of cocoa and a handful of berries and call it pudding - or lean savoury with mascarpone and toasted nuts if you're feeling brave!
